The Osun Economic Summit is a 3day summit held in November to attract local and foreign investment into the state. Areas of Investment opportunities include Agriculture, Education, Infrastructure, Mining, Tourism to mention a few.
The brief was to create a brand for the summit that would attract international audiences and yet have local appeal. The branding also had to be meaningful and reflect the local environment and economy. Our approach was to tap into the local art community for inspiration. This community has contributed largely to the cultural scene of not just the state but Nigeria. We visited the art village located in the Osun Osogbo Grove, a UNESCO world heritage site and eventually got insiration from Jimoh Buraimoh’s art, an internationally recognized artist based in Osogbo.
